Rhodonite, Not an entirely common mineral, Rhodonite is found in small deposits from Russia, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Sweden, Peru and England as well as North Carolina, Colorado, Massachusetts and New Jersey in the United States. Rhodonite has a distinctive pink hue and is often also characterized by black manganese oxide dendrite veins that create visually interesting formations.

This rosy pink gemstone gets its name from the Greek word "rhodos," meaning "rose colored." Rhodonite has been long valued as an ornamental stone. 80 square meters of columns are inlaid with Rhodonite in the Moscow Metro and Mayakovskaya Station in Russia. After the discovery of banded Rhodonite in Argentina during the 1930s, there was a boom in popularity. This particular variety of Rhodonite is sometimes referred to as "Inca Rose." In 1979, Rhodonite was made the state gem of Massachusetts.

Meaning: Something happens when you wear Rhodonite. You feel relaxed and revitalized. Rhodonite does for us what paying attention to nature always does for us: it softens our needs. It helps us put petty things behind us. It reminds us that leisure is important and that there's a bigger picture we often lose sight of. We pay attention to small things like the petals of tiny white daisies, the gossamer wings of a dragonfly, or a leaf pressed so long into a stone it has become part of it. That's the experience and wisdom of Rhodonite. It's no surprise this pink hue is associated with the heart chakra, opening the wearer to unconditional.

Tourmalinated Quartz can be found in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, Burma (Myanmar), Sri Lanka (Ceylon), and the United States (California and Maine). Several African countries have recently become big producers of gem Tourmaline, specifically Madagascar, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Malawi.

Tourmalinated Quartz is clear rock crystal (crystal quartz) which has grown together with black tourmaline, and shows strands of the tourmaline running through the quartz, hence "Tourmalinated." The earliest use of Tourmalinated quartz was for tools made by hominds in Ethiopia over 2 million years ago.

Meaning: Tourmalinated quartz is believed to protect the wearer from negative thoughts and emotions. It is said to be filled with energy that flashes through it and connects one with other fields of energy. Tourmalinated quartz is thought to provide a balancing of yin/yang energies and release negative patterns. It is used by some to treat disorders of the digestive tract and to detoxify the body. Tourmalinated quartz is aligned with the Zodiac signs Libra, Capricorn and Scorpio. It is associated with the 6th, Third Eye or Brow Chakra, but is also believed to be effective on the secondary chakras of the hands and feet, including the meridians.

Black Onyx is a gemstone found in various regions of the world including Yemen, Uruguay, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Indonesia, Madagascar, Latin America, the UK, and various states in the US.

The name "onyx" comes from the Greek word for "fingernail," referring to the translucence of the white-colored layer of this multi-layered stone. According to myth, Cupid trimmed the nails of the sleeping goddess Venus. The Fates turned those clippings into stone to prevent even a part of Venus from dying.

The Romans were experts at glyptography (the carving of layered stones to reveal different colors) and crafted beautiful seals from onyx (white layer over black base) and sardonyx (white layer over reddish-brown base). The patterns were cut in negative relief. Engravings with a negative picture are called intaglios and those with raised image are cameos. In the Middle East, onyx was associated with sorcerers.

Meaning: Black Onyx has been associated with regeneration and new beginnings. Black onyx is thought by some to have protective qualities, making it advantageous to carry when traveling. It is said to be useful in fighting basic fears and helping to move beyond bad relationships--as well as to heal old emotional wounds. The Romans associated onyx with courage and it is thought to be useful when one is defending him/herself against unfair criticism.

Black Onyx is also known to be a powerful protection stone that absorbs and transforms negative energy, and helps to prevent the drain of personal energy. Black Onyx aids the development of emotional and physical strength and stamina, especially when support is needed during times of stress, confusion or grief.

Pink topaz is one of earth's hardest naturally occurring gemstones, and is found in two places. Central, South and East Asia. The Pink topaz is found and mined in various places all over Asia: Japan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the renowned blue topaz of Sri Lanka.

The pink topaz gemstone is also called as the Imperial Topaz owing to the richly assortment of pink undertones and orange layers. The Egyptians and the Romans were one of the first civilizations to use pink topaz gemstone in their tombs and mausoleums. The topaz with pink hue remains unchanged even centuries after the processing and hence is considered a ‘symbol’ of eternity.

Meaning: Pink Topaz - personifies hope, allowing one to experience the presence of the Divine. It encourages integrity, honesty and openness, and brings good fortune in matters of love. Stimulating the Heart Chakra, it aids one in attracting genuine love, not a romanticized version, and dissolves destructive tendencies to obsess over unreciprocated love or waiting for an indifferent person to soften. Pink Topaz helps ease the sadness of those who have been hurt by love or loss, and is a marvelous gift to a first love for a birthday or anniversary to signify affection that will continue to grow over time. Natural, untreated Pink Topaz is very rare and one of the most valuable forms of Topaz
